OUR SERVICES

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living is the day-to-day support a participant receives to live as independently as possible, usually in their own home or a shared living arrangement. SIL focuses on the support itself, not the housing. It is one of the higher intensities supports and is generally funded for participants with significant daily support needs.

Typically includes help with cooking and meal preparation, cleaning and household tasks, personal care, medication prompting, building daily living skills, and supervision or assistance throughout the day.

SIL can be delivered as 24/7 support, active overnight support, or sleepover arrangements depending on the participant's assessed needs. In shared arrangements, support is often provided on a ratio basis across multiple residents.

Best suited to: participants who need regular or constant support to live safely and build independence in a home environment.

Community Access

Community Access supports participants to take part in social, recreational, and community activities outside the home. The goal is to build connections, develop life skills, increase confidence, and reduce social isolation.

Typically includes: attending social and recreational activities, joining community groups and clubs, accessing sport and leisure facilities, attending events, building friendships, and developing the skills needed to participate independently over time.

Support can be delivered one-to-one or in small groups, and may be centre-based or fully community-based. The emphasis is on meaningful participation chosen by the participant rather than simply filling time.

Best suited to: participants who want to get out into the community, build social networks, and develop independence in everyday settings.

Daily Personal Activities
(Personal Care)

Daily Personal Activities cover assistance with personal care tasks that a participant cannot complete independently due to their disability. This is among the most common supports delivered and is often combined with other in-home services.

Typically includes: showering and bathing, dressing and grooming, toileting and continence support, transferring and mobility assistance, eating and drinking support, and medication assistance.

Personal care is delivered with dignity and respect, and is tailored to the participant's preferences and routines. It may be provided in the participant's home or in the community as needed.

Best suited to: participants who need hands-on support with the activities of daily living.

Support Coordination

Support Coordination helps participants understand and make the most of their NDIS plan. A support coordinator connects participants with the right providers, helps resolve issues, and builds the participant's capacity to manage their own supports over time.

Typically includes: explaining the plan and its budgets, finding and connecting with suitable providers, coordinating supports across services, building participant skills and confidence, preparing for plan reviews, and resolving service problems.

There are three levels of support coordination: Support Connection (building capacity to connect with supports), Support Coordination (coordinating a mix of supports and building capacity), and Specialist Support Coordination (for participants in complex situations requiring a higher level of expertise).

Best suited to: participants who need help navigating the scheme, coordinating multiple providers, or building the skills to manage their own plan.

Tailored Support

Our team offers personalized support plans designed to meet individual needs, ensuring everyone receives the care they deserve. We focus on creating a nurturing environment for all.

Allied Health

We collaborate with various allied health professionals to provide comprehensive care. This includes access to physiotherapists, counsellors, and nutritionists, speech pathology, physiotherapy to support overall well-being.

Specialist Disability Accommodation

SDA is the specially designed housing for participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. It refers to the building itself and its accessibility features (wheelchair access, reinforced fittings, assistive technology, fire safety), not the support delivered inside it (that's SIL). Only a small number of participants qualify, based on assessed need, and SDA and SIL are funded separately and can come from different providers.

Respite Care

Our respite care services give caregivers a much-needed break while ensuring their loved ones are in safe, compassionate hands. We prioritize comfort and security during their stay.

1

 Household Tasks

Household Tasks help participants keep a clean, safe, and functional home when their disability prevents them from doing so,and can also build their capacity to manage the household over time. It covers cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, meal prep and cooking, grocery shopping, and basic maintenance. The worker may do the tasks directly or work alongside the participant to build their skills. Best suited to participants who need ongoing help at home or are developing independent living skills.

2

 Transport

Transport support helps participants get where they need to go when they can't use public transport independently due to their disability, which often underpins their access to other supports. It covers travel to appointments, work, education, and social or community activities, plus help getting in and out of vehicles. It can be funded as a recurring transport allowance or delivered as part of another support, such as a worker driving a participant to an activity. Best suited to participants who can't independently access transport and need help reaching activities, appointments, and services.

3

Group and Centre-Based Activities

Group and Centre-Based Activities provide structured programs in a group setting, either from a dedicated centre or out in the community, combining skill development with social connection. It covers day programs, skill-building workshops, social and recreational activities, art and craft, cooking and life-skills classes, and group outings. Delivered on a staff-to-participant ratio, it's more affordable per participant than one-to-one support while still providing meaningful engagement and structure. Best suited to participants who enjoy group settings and benefit from structured programs, routine, and peer connection.
